BBQ is not just a craft for Ed. It is a counterweight. In a career spent building digital systems that move at the speed of light, the smoker demands the opposite: patience, presence, and an honest reckoning with time. The fire does not care about your inbox. It only asks that you pay attention.

Ed has been competing on the BBQ circuit for years, earning multiple awards and absorbing the kind of knowledge that only comes from standing next to a pit at 3 a.m. with people who have been doing this their whole lives. He has studied the traditions: the whole hog pits of the Carolinas, the post-oak brisket temples of Central Texas, the backyard smokers of Atlanta's neighborhoods, and brought those lessons home.
