The Kamado Joe comes with an air hinge that makes opening and closing the lid super easy. When properly tuned, the air hinge will allow you to open the lid to any angle and it will hold at that angle. Occasionally after much use, the air hinge can loosen up and the lid may not stay where you want or it may start to slowly close on its own. No problem. With the simple twisting of a bolt, your air hinge can be back in tight working order. The video below shows how to tighten up your Kamado Joe air hinge.
